Short version: this site collects an email address when you ask for an email course. With your permission it also uses Google Analytics to see how the site is used. There are no advertising trackers.
What is collected
Your email address and first name, when you submit a signup form. The first name is used to address the emails. Both are stored with the email service provider that sends {the brain}, and tagged with the page you signed up from so it is possible to see which page works.
Usage statistics, only if you allow statistics in the cookie banner. See below. The site sets no advertising cookies and builds no profile of you for marketing.
What is stored on your device
Two things are stored only if you allow them in the cookie banner, and each is asked separately. Refusing is one click, and the site works the same either way. There is no cookie wall.
| What | Purpose | Type | Kept | Needs consent |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ------------------ | ------------------ | ---------------------- |
| euxlab-consent | Remembers what you allowed or refused | Local storage | Until you clear it | No, strictly necessary |
| theme | Remembers light or dark, when you pick one | Local storage | Until you clear it | No, you asked for it |
| _ga, _ga_<id> | Google Analytics statistics | First-party cookie | Up to 2 years | Yes, statistics |
| ckid | Kit's visitor id, set by the signup form script | Local storage | Until you clear it | Yes, signup forms |
Nothing else is stored, and no advertising or cross-site tracker runs on this site. Until you allow the signup forms, the Kit script is not loaded at all and the form shows a button to load it.
Change or withdraw your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing deletes the analytics cookies and Kit's visitor id, and reloads the page so nothing keeps running.
Analytics
If you allow statistics in the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>, kept for up to two years) to count page views, see which pages and links people use, and record a small number of named events (a signup submitted, an install command copied). Google processes this data as a processor; advertising features, Google signals and data sharing for ads are switched off, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
If you refuse, or ignore the banner, nothing from Google loads and no cookies are set. Google acts as a processor under its data processing terms, and data may be processed outside the EU under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis and consent
Signup uses double opt-in: you submit the form, then confirm from a link in a first email. Nothing sends until you confirm. That confirmation is the consent, and the record of it is kept for as long as you stay subscribed. Statistics cookies and the signup form script are only used with your consent, asked per purpose in the cookie banner and stored in your own browser. The legal basis is your consent under art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet; you can withdraw it at any time without losing access to anything.
Sharing
Your email address is held by the email service provider that sends the course, acting as a processor under a data processing agreement. Nothing is sold, rented, or handed to advertisers.
Retention
Your address stays on the list until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribing removes you from the sending list; the suppression record that stops future emails is kept, because it has to be.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email the address in the footer and it will be done within thirty days, usually the same week.
You can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
Contact
The address is in the site footer. A person reads it.
